As part of Canon Europe’s partnership with Coral Spawning International, I had the opportunity to photograph marine biologist Dr Jamie Craggs, at the heart of the labs and where it started, in his kitchen. From here, then expanding to Coral Spawning International, now working to help expand coral reefs worldwide, Jamie has managed to solve the mystery of the best conditions for spawning of coral. In a way, he is a matchmaker of an underwater world the rest of us have little knowledge of. Capturing the Canon setup he uses to capture the process, was a priviledge and honestly eye opening.
